This is our last CCC of the year, and we are making it extra special! We will be hosting several urban farmers from Pomona and beyond. If you’ve ever wondered where you can find a community farm to take part in, this is an opportunity to meet some really great folks and organizations and find a way to contribute.
This will be a fun social event with farm games like horse shoes and corn hole, and a garden sign painting station. Kids are welcome, and will be provided with organized activities.
Frecia Gonzalez, of the Institute for Public Strategies, began organizing local urban farmers in the Inland Valley area to find ways to create more connectivity and resilience in our local foodshed. She will be leading some food and drink demonstrations.
As always, there will be a compost demonstration lead by Compost Queen Lynn Fang, and free coffee provided by local microroasters 3Coffee.LA! So bring your food scraps and a dish to share!
